What if I feel awkward in front of the camera and don’t know how to be “sexy”?

At Sanctuary Boudoir, you will enter a safe space to leave all of those worries and insecurities at the door. Your photographer will pose you head to toe, coach facial expressions, and perfect the set and wardrobe the ENTIRE time that you are in front of their camera. Beyond being classically trained in fine art posing, we have spent years providing transformational boudoir sessions for hundreds of women. Which means we have photographed hundreds of unique body types, walks of life, and personalities. You don’t have to be a professional model to look like one, you just need to trust your photographer.

What if I want to keep my photos private? Do you share all of your clients galleries?

We will NEVER post your boudoir photos without your permission. All of the women that you see in our gallery are clients who signed a model release for us to share their images. At your ordering appointment you can let us know whether your images are to be kept completely private, partially private with anonymous photos only, or a full release to help inspire other women to book their experience. You are always in control!

What do I wear for my session?

We offer a full wardrobe guide, prep guide and complimentary wardrobe consultation with every booking, to ensure that you feel excited for your session and not stressed about what to wear. Boudoir wardrobe can be anything from a lingerie set to a body simply draped in fabric. The most important element of the wardrobe is YOU!

Did you know that we also offer a personal shopping experience with your photographer as an add on? That’s right! You can spend a few hours getting styled like a celebrity with Emma Jaye. She will help you with everything from basic fitting to advanced styling techniques to make sure you look and FEEL your best.

What if I am on the fence about shooting completely nude?

We understand that deciding to shoot fully nude can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel unsure! Ultimately, it’s all about what feels best to you! Capturing you in your most natural state can be an incredibly liberating experience. Our approach to nude photography is centered on elegance and empowerment. The only guideline we have is that our images cannot depict any sexual acts — we do not provide erotica photography services. This ensures that our focus remains on tasteful, celebratory, and artistic portraits that capture your strength, beauty, and confidence.

Still on the fence? Don’t stress about it before your session. We will guide you every step of the way and create a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where you feel comfortable and confident - regardless of whether you leave with fine art nudes or stunning images draped in fabric.

What if I have a specific location in mind for my photoshoot?

Although we highly encourage you to book a session with us at one of our preferred Dallas-based studios, we DO conduct photo sessions in alternative locations. All locations are subject to the photographers discretion for safety, accessibility, lighting, and to ensure that you have the ultimate boudoir experience.

Can I bring a friend or my significant other to my session?

Typically, we don’t allow clients to bring any guests to their shoot. This allows us to focus entirely on YOU and helps to create a private, intimate environment where we can work together to awaken your empowerment. Having a guest, even with the best of intentions, can pull energy away from our transformational process where you can completely let go and let the self-love rush in.

If having someone there is essential for you, let us know! We occasionally make special exceptions for a guest to be present in the studio during hair and makeup. They will have to step out when we transition to wardrobe and shooting, but there’s plenty for them to enjoy nearby. Let us know if they’d like more local suggestions - we love to share our favorites!

Do I have to use your hair and makeup artist?

We include professional hair and makeup with every session for many reasons. It’s a chance for you to unwind, be pampered, and feel relaxed as you ease into the session. It also ensures that the final images maintain a cohesive, polished look that aligns with the high-quality standards of our portfolio.

Our artists are handpicked for their expertise in catering to every individual’s unique needs—whether that’s working with different skin tones, skin concerns, hair textures, or hair lengths. We do make an exception for clients with protective hairstyles, as we want you to feel fully comfortable and represented in your natural beauty.
