1. Complimentary Consultation Call
Your one-on-one consultation call is where the magic begins — it's your opportunity to share your story, your vision, and what inspired you to embrace the transformative power of boudoir. This is the moment where you’ll feel truly heard and understood, as your photographer takes the time to listen to your needs and answer any questions that you have. We’ll walk you through every detail of our boudoir experience, giving you a deeper understanding of the process, pricing, and physical products available after your session. This call is not just about logistics—it’s about creating a connection and ensuring that you feel excited and empowered every step of the way.
2. Booking Your Session / Prep Guide / Wardrobe
Upon booking your session, you will receive our extensive prep and lingerie guides with all of the information you need to make sure that you look and FEEL your best the day of your photoshoot. These curated guides cover accessorizing, grooming, inspired wardrobe looks, shopping resources, wellness tips, and more! Wanting a more luxurious wardrobe option or professional eye to help select your most flattering look? We have a Personal Shopping Experience offered as an add-on purchase to your session. You can spend a few hours getting styled like a celebrity to feel secure and confident in anticipation of your photoshoot. We are always here to help in any way that we can.
3. Professional Hair & Makeup / Styling
The morning of your boudoir session begins in hair and makeup with one of DFW’s top artists. Our stylists are handpicked for their expertise in catering to every individual’s unique needs - from working with different skin tones, skin concerns, hair textures, or hair lengths. The two of you will work together to create the perfect look, even if getting glam is not part of your typical routine. While they work, it is time to unwind. Be pampered and feel relaxed as you ease into your session. Once you are camera-ready, your photographer will help with styling before the session begins. We will review your wardrobe and select outfits from the pieces you’ve brought and accessories that you are welcome to use from our collection.
4. Photoshoot
When the creative process begins it is time to leave all of your worries and insecurities at the door. Your photographer will make sure that you are comfortable 100% of the time - especially while posing. We understand how intimidating it can be in front of the camera, but at Sanctuary Boudoir we create a safe space for you to let go and fully embrace your self-love. Your photographer will pose you head to toe (and coach facial expressions) throughout the process by getting into each position first to show you what it looks like and then verbally walk you through it for the perfect shot. Once you’re there, they adjust all of the little things (like jewelry, hair, lingerie) to make sure your photos are done to an editorial-style standard. Beyond being classically trained in fine art posing, we have spent years providing transformational boudoir sessions for hundreds of women. This means we have photographed hundreds of unique body types, walks of life, and personalities. You will never have to know what to do, or question whether or not you look amazing… TRUST US… you will!
5. Professional Editing
At the end of your session we will schedule time for a Private Image Reveal and Ordering Appointment - this typically happens the following week. During that time our professional retouchers complete “responsible retouching” to ensure that your gallery is magazine quality, but still looks like YOU! Even though you will see yourself in a brand new light through your images, you will still recognize the incredible woman on the screen. When the professional retouching is complete, your photographer will finish editing the images to ensure that every element of each photograph looks seamless from skin tones to creative lighting.
6. Private Image Reveal & Ordering Appointment
Your Private Image Reveal is where you will see your finished images for the first time. These are encouraged to be done in-person, but out-of-state and international clients are welcomed to complete them virtually. The reveal is an emotional, powerful, and exhilarating part of the process. After reviewing your stunning photo gallery, your photographer will help you handpick the digital images and physical products from the artwork you have created together. From there your purchases will be designed in-house and produced at a luxury print company.
